I sit in the movie theater, events unfolding before me.
Wildfires, romance, even a robbery caper.
It doesn’t really matter what happens…
None of it alters the me snug in my seat.
These images playing on the screen are merely informers.
They show me how to know the true Essence more deeply.
Yes, they help me and at times hurt me,
but they cannot alter the fact of me.
I hold steady in their presence,
take in the needed teaching,
keep the Beloved close,
while each experience enriches me,
reaffirms my own inner insistence that I am soul,
eternal, all powerful—
a divine being.
And when the credits roll,
I see that this whole blockbuster—
the actors, the theater, the town, country, and globe in which it plays—
are all God,
all…me.
Lesley, this is so timely for me right now! The Beloved has been persistently and gently (and sometimes not so gently!) working to open my awareness to this Truth lately. I’m so grateful for this poem today. Thank you, dear Soul, for continuing to be the loving channel that you are.
Thank you, Marian. Yes, same here. The Master has been asking me to really own my comfy seat in the theater. What a joy it is to relax during the show.
I can imagine sharing a box of popcorn with the Beloved while watching the images roll by, knowing at face value it’s just a story. Thank you for the needed reminder that at the end of the story, no matter what the story line was, everything is God … me. Beautiful, thank you Lesley!
Thank you, Holland. I love that image. I am going to use that one. Yes, we are so fortunate to have our perfect companion as we partake of this wild and wonderful show.
So peaceful and true. My soul relates. Thank you for taking us into.your meaningful experience 💕
