the worry within you
that darkens your day
is but a squall
the great ocean
of your being.
You may get wet
but you won’t drown,
if you stay
with the Friend.
Truly, you are
the entire ocean,
the rain drops,
the light shining
behind bruised clouds.
How could any of it harm you?
Even beyond that,
you are the Universe
for the experience
of that squall
raging across the ocean
of your being.
So, release your burden,
and enter the now,
where the sun’s rays
break through the gloom
You are welcome, Debra. <3
Beautifully pictured, expressed and timed. Just what I needed to start my contemplation this morning. Thank you.
Thank you, dear soul. Isn’t it wonderful how we get exactly what we need in each moment when we are open to receiving, and giving!
Beautifully said. Like all times that seemed like the end, this too shall pass.
Yes, Bob, thank you for the reminder. Everything passes except the true Essence. What a relief.
So very beautifully written and a balm for my psyche on this day. Praying for a smooth transition into another way of being in our country.
Kelley, I’m happy to hear that this provided solace on a tense day for us all. I guess we will see whether a transition comes or not. For now, I’m holding tight to the inner freedom which is much more steady than those outer poles. 🙂
Lovely, such a great example of the balm that divine trust brings. Thank you!
Thank you, Chloe. Yes, it is such a balming presence. We are so fortunate!
Reminds me of the sentiment expressed in The City of Brahman from the Chandogya Upanishad. Just the calm I need to face the chaos of this day.
Bud, I’m glad that the poem was calming for you, and I so appreciate your knowledge of the ancient spiritual texts.
Thanks Lesley, your words were just what I needed this morning, so very true.
I’m happy to hear that, John. Thank you for reading.
Beautiful. Thank you
Thank you, Theresa!
So amazing! I teared up as your powerful words lifted me out of despair and into the cool breeze of real Truth.
Thank you for sharing your incredible gift with all of us. We are blessed by your poems.
Thank you, Jazzy. I’m so glad the poem touched you. It is wonderful how easily we can move from despair into love. So grateful for the Guide.
Simply beautiful and all encompassing. Thank you. Reading your poem, my heart petals opened like a flower in the rain, knowing the sun within.
