That challenge you face today
with your mate or employer,
your bank account or health,
it is an egg.
It’s not just part of an omelet, though,
or a scramble with onions and peppers.
It is more like a finch or hummingbird egg.
One day the chick will peck its way free
and learn to fly.
It will lay an egg or two
and birth even more chirping glory.
This bird may pollinate plants,
add nutrients to the soil,
and carry seeds to distant lands.
Those seeds will grow into towering trees
where other birds can perch.
And one day a little girl may lift her eyes to the sky,
see one of those birds soar from a branch,
and realize her own possibility for infinite flight.
So the next time a challenge knocks at your door,
and in desperation you call on the Beloved for help,
open the door wide—
it is an invitation to fly.

Hi Lesley
Truly words to live by. I need to keep them in mind while facing my own challenges!
All the best,
Bill
So true, Bill, living every moment with this knowing makes life a breeze. It’s great to hear from you!
Indescribably inspirational and lighthearted. Thank you so much, Lesley. Wishing you high flying today.
I wish you high flying too, Stephani. Thank you!
This is exquisitely written, Lesley. It is at the top of the list of best pieces I have read in a long time. It felt like it was personally written for each of us alone, just like the Master channels to each of us. Words don’t do it justice. Thank you dearly. ?
Could close my eyes and imagine the picture of it. Lovely.
