My palms press
against water
push through to my thighs
while my legs flutter.
I move forward.
I don’t try
to make the water disappear.
I don’t want it
to drain away.
Instead I rejoice in the resistance
against my muscles
which strengthens them
with every pull
through the glistening ocean
of life.

It is only through resistance that we train and have our revealing.
very Nice Lesley!
Beautifully said, Garry. We “have our revealing.” That is so true. Now, when challenge comes I know that on the other side of it will be amazing new insight. It makes the “swimming” much easier to take. 🙂
So fantastic, Lesley. This beautifully illuminates the true meaning of “resist not evil,” — resistance truly is the grit that leads us Home and therefore is a welcome guest.
Interesting, Colleen. I hadn’t considered that, but it is so true. Thank you!
Thank You dear Lesley with words of joyful enlightenments.
You are welcome, John. Thank you for tuning in here. 🙂
