It calls as though from a great distance
light years and galaxies away.
It whispers, quiet as the rustle of a raven wing,
“Come.”
And when I listen yet more closely
It explains how.
Between thoughts arrives the map
and a compass needle pointing Home.
“Follow the beating pulse of your joy
the arc of your smile
the lilt of your laughter.
Follow as though they are the only realities.
“Simply wave to those hitchhikers heartache and pain
until they disappear in your rearview mirror.
Bypass Despair, with its tumbleweed memories
and Resentment Saloon.
“Stop only when you reach Eternal Bliss
that still pool of clear deep blue water.”
Who are you? I ask.
How can I trust you? I plead.
With the harmony of a symphony
the voice replies
“I am You.”

Sublimely exquisite, Lesley. This left me breathless.
Beautiful imagery Lesley! How sweet and effervescent and invigorating is the call of love…eventually recognized as Self. It becomes more *natural* with each step we take…until knowingness, beingness, and seeingness through Love’s Lens is ALL WE ARE!!! Thanks for the intimacy that is YOU.
Thank you, Bobby, so true, it does become more natural, this connection we foster. I so appreciate the depth you bring to a contemplation. 🙂
YES!
You have touched my soul so deeply Lesley…..brought tears of joy. <3
I could see it and feel it as I read it.
Thank you all for your kind comments. I started contemplating the way we call ourSelves home after seeing the movie Interstellar. It is such a sweet truth that the Beloved is within, and our fostering of that Power draws us back to our Source, who is us. Such a stunning creation!
Wonderful, wonderful poem Lesley. Thank you so much for being you, and for calling yourself home. Not only that, but having the vision and generosity of spirit to send the echo of that sweet call to those of us who yet struggle to hear……
Thankyou Lesley for this one. It is so perfect!!
Thank you Lesley, it s such a blessing when we do receive that call of the Divine to come back home. We become Seekers, or the,”Hounds of Heaven,” until that day when we finally have found that which were seeking for so long! And now we stand on that 5th and final step on the ladder back to God as a Chela, who has been initiated by a True Master and begin the sojourn of Soul back home under his love and guidance!
Your poem is such an eloquent channeling of this blessing and how it evolves within our consciousness as we are drawn inward and upward until our realization in hearing that answer to our plead of ,”How can I trust you?,”, that our true self is but truly a drop from the ocean of love and Divine Mercy , and that the Inner voice of The Master has really been this true self beaconing us to mastership of our own miraculous microcosm!
