The mind says “Wait, wait,
just a little longer
until the days lengthen.
Then the world will be brighter.”
The Beloved answers, “Now, now,
this moment stretches to eternity.
Close your eyes
and bask in My sunshine.
“Your inner tulips already blossom.
Your hyacinths and daffodils burst with joy.
Whenever you wait for spring
you leave Me and enter the eternal winter
where My rays cannot caress you.
“Throw open your door
run naked through the piñon forest.
Let Me warm you
until you realize your own Radiance.”
Happy Holidays, dear readers!
“Whenever you wait for spring, you leave Me and enter the eternal winter where My rays cannot caress you.” That so brilliantly describes the “eternal now,” a concept that the mind is convinced is impossible. Everything we need we already possess. Thank you for this poem, Lesley, and for the devotion it took to create and share it with your ethereal cyber true friends. 🙂
So true and beautifully said, Rudy. We do possess all we need. What a journey it is coming to know this. Thank you for your lovely comment.
True and beautifully expressed!
Thanks for sharing.
Lovely.
Thanks so much!
Love to you
