Experiences are the squalls on the great ocean that I am.

Lesley, this is so true and so timely for me. It occurred to me just yesterday that great peace can come from deeply understanding that everything really is perfect. When I can stop reacting with “this shouldn’t be happening”, I am happy. Many difficult and challenging things are happening all around me right now and as long as I can stay centered in the realization that the Master is just meting out my karmas so I can go home, all is well. Much love to you.
Beautifully said, Marian, I am so happy that the meaning to this one-liner came through. That is exactly what it means to me. Life is truly a joy when one knows that all is for our unfoldment, all is God.
From your message, I was struck with the immensity of soul — like the ocean, which stays massive and constant beneath, no matter what blustery storms work over its surface. Very penetrating and powerful message, Lesley.
Yes, Rudy, that is my experience with this teaching from the Beloved. As well, for me, the squalls are a part of the whole ocean, not separate, and all is God. This view calms me because I see that nothing is separate, nothing can or will ever harm me since all is Love.
I love your concluding sentence above. That is always the bottom line for me as well. If everything I encounter is sent from my Master, my kindest Friend, how could I ever have a preference or an opinion about my life experiences? “O death, where is thy sting” has a whole new dimension when you view life from that vantage point. Storms on the sea can save days of travel if the sail is set properly. Many blessings, my friend…
Sometimes the experiences are the flutter of fish fins, sometimes tidal waves. So true the constant is deep abiding joyous love, and “nothing moves the dweller in Shabda.”
All a matter of where our consciousness is. Little by little, our awareness of the abiding love expands. Thank you for the ongoing reflections, Lesley.

Experiences can also be the steady, gentle trade winds blowing us home.
