I trek through a forest of dead imagery
Clutch great oaks that wither to dust
Search for answers in pools of my tears
To one day breathlessly
Meet the One who guides me to
The Land of Eternal Radiance
Where the squawking crows quiet
The thunderous pulse slows
Imperatives dissolve into mist
As my being glows.
Deeply inspiring. Thank you.
Dear Lesley, Your poem is beautiful, every line a satang in itself. It is exactly what I needed to read this morning. I have been so busy with so many work deadlines and they all seem so important to everyone involved yet when in His presence as you said, “imperatives dissolve into mist.” Thank you for living the ideal and opening to the words that speak volumes and touch countless longing souls. Much love to you.
Thank you all for your kind words. I had been so busy all week that when it came time to post I had nothing. So I found a line in my journal and all day let the Beloved talk to me to build the rest. Jamie and Sonja, that line “Imperatives dissolve into mist” came to me in the shower just before bed and I snuck it in. This poem helped me to once again see the journey as the great adventure that it is, rather than the heavy weight that the mind thinks it is. Blessings to you all.
Love the line, ‘imperatives dissolve in the mist’ beautiful
Ah……………<3
Thank you sweetheart!
How beautiful and fitting for all the dead images dancing around in my life. Thank you for this beautiful post. Much love
Any artist that allows and encourages God to speak in their tongue gives voice to the stupendous nature we all are moving toward. Acting as a distributor of it’s amazing power, love, and wisdom pays not just in the growing esteem of your neighbors but also in the sense that you recognize it’s not only God but your influence in coloring the eternal, customizing the universal. You inspire me, not with your words but with your eagerness to serve and bring forth majesty’s resplendent crown. “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
Thank you, Tim, how kind of you to say. And what you wrote is pure poetry itself, so clearly you are seeing your own beautiful devotion reflected. The writing here satisfies me deeply because after a lifetime of writing it is the only time I have really put into words my truth. It has been a long journey here, and now I can only smile at how fortunate I am to get to spend my days receiving His grace.
Lesley,
Time and time again, your writing reflects the Flow you are open to receive and give. So very beautiful and inspiring to me. Thank you.
So very articulate in such loving terms. Not one wasted syllable, and blessedly, I have been graced to feel that glow. Thank you, Lesley.
With imperatives swirling around me I somehow mist this entry. Each line was so meaningful, right to the glow at the end. And your glow is so abundant in this verse that it helps all your readers to shine a bit brighter and make commitments with a bit more determination — to listen more and attend more to our own verses coming through. Bless you for your beautiful seva!
Rudy, I so appreciate your lovely verse in response to my poem, puns included. Every day I feel blessed to have so many reminders to, as you say, “listen more and attend more to our own verses coming through.” And you are definitely one of my best reminders.
