I traveled to distant lands
To find
The lushness of a rain forest
The expansive freedom of the desert
The salty weightlessness in the ocean
The rich surprise of a new culture
The soaring elevation of a mountaintop
The heart-pounding thrill of whitewater
The silent peace of a cathedral
The intoxicating bliss of new love
Today, I’m blessed to find all that
And more
With my Beloved
Here
Now
In my inner temple.

Such lovely expressions of the inner journey. Thank you for sending me back inside to my own.
Deborah
You are welcome, Deborah. Thank you! This post arose during one of those dry desert days when I longed for tropical lushness. Suddenly, I closed my eyes and there I was. What a blessing it is to travel inward where all is possible.
Lovely images and perfect poetry. Thank you for the morning gift of reminding me to take a quick vacation of beauty. Landscapes, colors, and the rush of inner senses await. “Intoxicating bliss” is a precise and apt description of it all.
Yes, Rudy, these inward vacations are the way to go. Outer travel, though wonderful, always has the flip side. You travel to the wild beauty of Africa and get parasites. You explore the quaint villages of Tuscany and then get run off the road by those speedy Italian drivers. All great adventure, of course, but here, inside, there is never a kick back. All is love. Thank you for your wonderful comment!
Best vacation yet !! Closer than your heartbeat….nearer than your breath….
Thanks again Lesley …enjoyed it all… Lovely indeed…
Susan, what beautiful additions to this. So true, all of those inspiring sentiments. All really is here within. Blessings to you, dear soul.
Lesley, how beautiful your pictures are of these exciting travels to distant lands you have taken, in search of love and excitement during your life. I so loved how you then channeled the blessings we as Chela’s are graced with that the Love and excitement we all long for is not outside of us but inside in our own Inner temple and that intoxicating Love we all crave is the Love of the Master and is unconditional and never ending in it depth and expanse! The master teaches us that this Pinda is only a reflection of the region above in when we do travel to these higher regions in consciousness it is so much more beautiful and free of physical limitations. Thank you for sharing this wonderful realization.
Beautifully said, Michael, and so true. All we have ever longed for really is within. Blessings to you!
