All experience expands my viewpoint as I come to live the love that I am.

This is so profound, Lesley. It strikes at the heart of our very existence. First, to accept that each experience of our lives has significant meaning is hard enough, but add to that the fact we are love overwhelms the mind, for it can come up with a very long list to disprove it. Still, those two facts remain, and it is the mind that must accomodate the alteration in viewpoint. Very beautiful observation — thank you!
Thank you, Rudy. Yes, this does turn the mind’s switch to off. Any notion that we already are what we so want to be, just undoes that sweet instrument that is really at our bidding, but thinks it rules. We are so blessed to have the Beloved to remind us that we truly are the one and only Love.
It’s always a refreshing hit to get Lesley’s commentary/blog in the morning….like a crisp breeze from the North. Thanks! I have the passion of “anger” that is pointedly visiting me every day, frustrations with musicians who aren’t as committed as I am. The flame under my karmic stewpot has been turned up and the contents are now boiling. Of course, I SEE this…but, as every chela will testify, there isn’t a whole lot I can do on my own. The passions are called “diseases” in a literal sense. They have infected the mind and the symptoms completely swallow up the precious (priceless) attention. Since attention is awareness is consciousness is Soul is LIFE, ITSELF…well, you can see, as I clearly see, that I am lost in a maze of outer circumstances and karma. Now, the very last talk at the recent seminar in San Diego clarified our plight (prisoners of this body, this world and this mind) and our Gracious Master has lovingly suggested that we rely on HIS GRACE for all things! What is difficult about His loving suggestion? From my infantile perspective, what is difficult is simply “remembering”! Yes, folks, it is as simple as remembering His Grace! Then I ask you, what is it that prevents remembrance? Rather than answer this question, for we all have our own sack of rocks to carry, I will leave it as is. But “remember” we must, because there isn’t any other source or person on this planet that can help us with the most difficult journey known to man. My hat’s off to all who have undertaken this humongous journey of joy! With His unflappable help and supreme power/love, we will ascend…step by step, day by day.
Al, your recognition is simply beautiful. I am coming to see that even the anger is graced to us. It is a counterweight without which we wouldn’t know its opposite, forgiveness and love. All is Shabda, the Divine current, Love. What we do with this graced gift determines all. And yes, as you say, remembrance is key. So simple, so kind.
Again, THANKS Leslie, for sharing the Shabda in life, and as He shares with us, life is Shabda. Of my many trips to Albuquerque, have always wanted to hike this park, and am inspired to do so in June:)
Blessings,
Deb
Thank you, Deb. It’s wonderful to see you here! A little travel advice, if I may: This was shot at Three Rivers Petroglyph Site near Carrizozo, a few hours south of Albuquerque. Within Albuquerque itself is Petroglyph National Monument, with literally thousands of stunning images, so that one is just minutes from Home there. Either place offers a fabulous walking contemplation.
Hi Lesley, when I read your book, “The Baby Pact,” I learned 25 new words, and in this post I had to look up what a Petroglyph was! How beautiful that picture of Southeastern New Mexico is! I may not return home in June after seeing this wonderful land of Enchantment. I am contemplating that wonderful statement you wrote and as Rudy wrote in his comment, that is profound! I thank you for both the wonderful picture and that channeling of profound truth!

Beautifully stated, Al. No one gets by without packing a sack of rocks a good long way. Thank you for the contemplation stretcher.
