On this drought day
when you ache for a full gushing thunderstorm
yet only a spritz of rain cools your skin
do not lose heart, my love.
In the monsoon season
the splattering rain today
feeds the great torrent of tomorrow.
So one day when you hardly expect it
a billowing thunderhead will perch above you
and shower its manna
as you dance and twirl
naked in muddy puddles.

Love this, Lesley! Thanks for bringing me a sweet moment of dancing naked in the rain.
You are welcome, Dan. Thank you! You’ve reminded me that whenever the mind is still we are in commune with the Beloved, we are definitely dancing naked in the sweetest rain.
Ah, yes, the promise of slow and steady, building the gusher of love.
Thanks Lesley & Amalesh!
Looking forward to bigger puddles to play in.
Thank you, Sheila, and yes, the bigger, the better!
Always seeing Hafiz in your poems Lesey. Stay clear and channel openly as you always do.
Always seeing Hafiz in your poems Lesley. Clear and open channeling. Fun to read.
Thank you, John. That is the ultimate praise in my book. All kudos to our Beloved, of course.
Lovely. Surrender and the rains will come. Seems a good remedy for the ache that comes waiting for a thunderstorm gully washer. Nice photo, too, Amalesh.
